Topsy Turvy Fun with Jacob and Shayla!

This was the funnest reception that I have been too for kids! It was a carnival theme party with snow cones, cotton candy, popcorn and more candy on the tables. The kids had a blast and who knows how many snow cones they consumed! This was a really fun cake to make and I loved the ideas that these two had of making it so colorful and also that it was a topsy turvy cake! I did a couple of practice cakes before I made this creation just to make sure I got it right. I think it turned out super cute!

Blue Velvet!

The lovely bride I made this for, looked so amazing on her wedding day! She is the first one to ever want a blue velvet cake! I went through several batches of cake till I could get the right color that she wanted. I even colored the bride on the cake topper's hair brown so that it would match the bride! I wish them all the best.

Captain America, Batman and Superman all rolled into one!

This cake was for a super cute 1 year old named Grayson! His mom is a good friend of mine so I jumped at the chance to make this for him. I loved trying to make the different super hero layers and I feel like I am getting a lot better at the super hero cakes! I am sure there are many more to come.

Wes and Olga Wedding Event of the Year!

Let's eat Cake! What a fun couple of cakes this was to make for my brother and his new bride!

So glad that these two have finally tied the knot! When they were deciding on what cake to have at their wedding there was a lot of talk! Wes wanted his way and Olga wanted her way! Well I decided that it would be fun to surprise them with 2 cakes! One was a decadent coconut cake with a creamy peach butter cream frosting, covered in ivory fondant and made to look like the outside was lace. The second cake was a Chocolatey Velvet Cake with a cream cheese frosting in the center. Wes is an avid hunter so I added some Camouflage accents! Good Luck Olga and Wes! We are so excited that both of you have finally found each other.

Great to be 8!

What a great little boy! I guess he is not so little anymore and I hate that he is growing up so fast. We had his 8th Birthday this year and he is turning into a fine young man. Two of his favorite treats to eat are a plain glazed donut and skittles. I looked up donut cakes on the internet cause I thought I would attempt to make one. Let's just say I need a little bit more practice. What was really nice is that there was not one drop left of this cake!

Spider Man!

Here is another Bronco Bundy Birthday cake! He wanted a spider man cake just like last year but I thought we needed to make it a little different! I put the frosting on the cake and he put the characters on the cake. I think he did a pretty good job. I may have to hire him on permanently!

Relief Society Party!

These delicious treats were for a Relief Society Birthday Party. They were so fun to make. Mint Brownies, Red Velvet cupcakes with creamy cheese frosting, Lemon cupcakes with a citrus butter cream. It was a really fun party and the food and treats were really good!

Beauty and the Beast Birthday Cake.

It seems like every year all my little girl wants is a barbie birthday cake! Last year it was beauty and the beast. I thought this year she would want to change it but I think she is actually planning on another Barbie cake! I love making her these cakes cause I know that she is not going to be little forever! Happy Birthday Raegy Roo!

Practice, Practice, Practice!

Practice cake that I made at a cake decorating class. It was fun to try new things and see how other cake decorators techniques differ from my own. I still have a lot to learn!!

1st Birthday!

T money's 1st Birthday!!! I have a pretty cool pan that makes all sorts of car shaped cakes, so I thought it would be fun to have a decorating party with all of the nieces and nephews. Talon really likes cars and carries one around with him everywhere he goes. It is pretty fun to see him make all sorts of car noises!

Pokemon.

Again, I am still working on my superhero, kid theme, Pokemon and other crazy kid idea cakes. This was for another friend's nephews b-day cake. At this point I wasn't even sure if Pokemon was still a cool thing and found out that it is still pretty popular! Now that my little boy is a little older he actually has Pokemon cards! Whoever thought that I would be buying those things for my kid.

Ninjago! Master's of Spinjitzu!

Daxton is getting more and more into Lego's everyday, so when he asked me to make a ninjago birthday cake I had a little bit of a brain freeze! So I concocted this Ninjago training grounds. He was pretty impressed, but did inform me that some of the weapons that are on the cake were not actually weapons! I guess that I am going to have to play more Lego's with him. Thanks for the nice cheesy face Brett!!

Inspiration

These three are my inspiration! This was taken on our trip to Idaho, last year. The little one was so hard to get a good picture of! They always keep me on my toes are are my toughest cake critics! They let me know when something is not quite right. Especially on the kids cakes! Daxton is my go to boy for all of the superhero knowledge that I obviously am lacking!

The Cocoa Bean

We love to visit all sorts of ice cream shops or cup cake shops! This was called the Cocoa Bean in Rexburg ID. We came to visit my brother and his wife and of course Spencer has to show us all the sweet tooth places! It was super yummy!

Bronco's Halloween cake.

This scary Halloween cake was for my crazy little nephew Bronco. He is super fun and we actually share the same birthday! He and I both were born in October so a ton of our cakes end up with a Halloween theme.

Lots of updates!

My computer recently crashed with all of my cake pictures! So it has been awhile but here is lots of updates on what I have been up to for the last little while.
Here is a cute Hello Kitty cake that I made for a good friend's niece. My little girl was very sad to see it go and thought it was super cute. Sometimes I like to put toys on the cake for little kids. That way they can play with it after the cake is all gone!
