Happy 60th Wedding Anniversary Grandma and Grandpa!

Who could ask for better grandparents than these two. They are so wonderful that when my sisters and I found out we were going to be doing a little dinner with them, we just new we had to make them a cake. Well my Grandma likes Chocolate and my Grandpa likes Carrot Cake so naturally we had to make two!!

Grandma's was a chocolate chip cake with a berry glaze and a cookie's n cream butter cream filling. Grandpa's was a yummy carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.

We printed their wedding day picture and then a picture of them on their Alaskan cruise on some edible paper and put that on the cake. And then of course we had to put butter cream roses all over each cake. We grew up with my Grandma making us sugar cookies and putting her beautiful sugar roses on our cookies, so I thought it would be a great idea to put them all over. She was so surprised at all the flowers and didn't even want to cut into the cake. I only like to make my Grandma cry when it is for a good thing so I was happy to see some tears on this day.

Congrats Grandma and Grandpa for a wonderful 60 years!

My sister and I wanted to help out our brother by making cupcakes for his little boy's baby blessing. His little boy Mackay is one super chunk and we were more than happy to feed sugar to all of the family. There were 4 different cupcakes plus rice krispie treats that we concocted.

The flavors were:
Chocolate chip banana cupcake with whipped cream vanilla bean frosting topped with a chocolate chip cookie.
Mint chocolate cupcake with mint butter cream frosting topped with chocolate ganache.
Orange dream cupcake with a orange butter cream frosting.
Coconut vanilla bean cupcake with creamy vanilla bean frosting covered in butterscotch ganache.

All of them were super yummy and we were happy to make them for such a cute couple and one of the cutest little boys I know!

Relief Society Birthday!

For some reason I am really bad at forgetting to bring my camera with me to take a picture of the final product or I can't remember where the picture is on my camera. Well I finally found this one and I really liked this cake because of all the yummy fruit on top. What a great way to celebrate a birthday!

Stephanie and Logan's wedding cake!

Yes, I know that they were married almost 3 years ago, but I finally found a picture of their wedding cake that my sister and I did for Steph's wedding. See Stephanie doesn't eat sugar so all she wanted was a banana bread cake topped with fruit. Well we came up with this idea from a cake we saw once and figured it would make everybody happy. The smallest tier was her banana bread concotion so that the Bride could have a bite of her cake. It was a really fun day and I am glad that she is my sister.

Topsy Turvy Time!

This cake was for sweet Lillian. Her brother Joseph had a dinosaur cake, but I don't think that is what she had in mind. So I asked her what some of her favorite colors were and then I asked her about a topsy turvy cake and she was so excited. It was really fun making this cake. Hope she had a great day!

Dinosaur Time!

This cake was for Joey who is a sunbeam in my primary class. He is super cute! And I was more than willing to do a birthday cake for him. I thought for sure he would want superheros but he said no that he wanted a dinosaur cake. So here we go. I sure hope he had a fun day!
